Continuous vacuum pan CCTW Type

The third generation of FIVES CAIL continuous vacuum pan profits of the long experience driving to excellent performances in term of productivity as well as exhaustion of the massecuite.

The specific geometry of the calandria enables a very high recirculation and ensures highest thermal heating coefficient. Horizontal tubes of the calandria give the latter a low sensitivity to encrustation enabling its use on high purity products such as refinery one.

The FIVES CAIL continuous vacuum pan is available in monobloc version (CCTW), in double version (CCTD) or in an evolutive version in CCTW as well as in CCTD. The CCTD version actually gets two distincts volumes of crystallization, either for facilitating cleaning procedures or for working with two different products in parallel. The evolutive version enables a future expansion (in area and volume) of about 40 to 45% of the initial capacity.

Minimal hydrostatic load --> minimal temperature difference between the calandria and the massecuite. Vacuum pan adapted to all kinds of massecuite. Excellent exhaustion and purity drop. Very good crystal quality.
With or without mechanical agitation. Size from 22 to 250 m3. Ratio of calandria surface/pan volume from 10 to 13 m2/m3. CCTD continuous vacuum pan for treating two massecuites with a single unit.
Efficient and proved control Low encrustation No maintenance Large potential of evolution in capacity

Designed from careful original research and operational experience the FS/TH continuous vacuum pan provides a high quality crystal massecuite production, simple control and a cost efficient method of continuous crystallization.

The FS/TH continuous vacuum pan is available as a single multi compartment unit or as a stacked unit for installation in confined floor areas or where long operating cycles and "on the run" cleaning is required. The unique cross section ensures superb circulation without the need for additional agitation. A vertical tube calandria and low hydrostatic head ensures high heat transfer rates.

Low hydrostatic load.   Single horizontal or stacked configuration.   Low calandria steam pressures (often sub atmospheric).   Energy efficient operation.
Minimal temperature difference between the calandria and the massecuite.   Optimum massecuite exhaustion (purity drop).   Excellent crystal size distribution (good MA with low CV).   Simple and reliable automatic control schemes.

Extended operating cycles between cleaning.   Very low maintenance requirements.   Custom sizing to suit individual operating parameters.
