HULETT HEAVY DUTY SHREDDER
The unit has been designed by operating
mill engineers to meet a demanding performance requirement.
The FS/TH heavy duty shredder comprises
a robust fabrication with a patented rotor having
overlapping swing hammers providing complete coverage
of the shredder width.
The FS/TH shredder ruptures a high percentage
of sucrose bearing cells in the cane and simultaneously
presents the raw material to the extraction plant
in long fibre particles.

FLETCHER SMITH PREPARATOR
The Fletcher Smith preparator has been developed
as an intermediate solution between simple knifing and heavy
duty shredding.
The unit is designed to
replace a heavy duty knife set and can be installed on existing
cane handling systems with minimum modifications.
Operating as a contra rotating
knife set with an independently driven
feeder drum and adjustable anvil, the
unit combines a knifing and shredding
action to provide a high efficiency preparation.
